Patient Testimonials:

physical therapy, pain relief

I've had 3 cervical fusions and suffer from chronic pain and muscle spasms. Previous physical therapies have done nothing and the exercises tended to increase the spasms and give me migraines. Then, I was referred to Glover PT. After just a few sessions I began to feel relief and was able to do some stretches and simple exercises without pain. The therapy is giving me relief from pain and increased mobility so that I am finally getting my life back.

Highly recommend!!

I am a 60-year-old, retired Registered Nurse.  I have suffered from severe, unretractible pain for over seven years due to Fibromyalgia, Piriformis Syndrome, Multi-Level Disc Disease and Osteoarthritis.

During the past seven years, I have been referred to several “leading” physical therapists in Western New York for treatment.  After weeks of therapy that offered little more than a few exercises, I would discontinue treatment because there was no improvement in pain or function and often exacerbation of symptoms.

I resigned myself to “living” with pain and disability until March 2007, when my neurosurgeon recommended Glover Physical Therapy.  Reluctantly, I began treatment and was surprised to feel significant pain relief after my first session!  Brian’s approach was totally different from any treatment I had ever received before.  In addition to effective exercises to strengthen weakened muscles, Brian used deep massage to “loosen” and relax the painfully knotted muscle groups to ease pain and improve function, as well.

Although there is no “cure” for my medical disabilities, Brian has significantly improved my quality of life.  Until coming to Glover Physical Therapy, my life was controlled by pain and waiting for the next dose of pain medication.  Glover Physical Therapy has provided more pain relief than any other treatment I have experienced since becoming disabled.  I cannot effectively put into words, my gratitude to Brian for the comfort his efforts have provided.

If you want to experience true pain relief, you would be well served to include Glover Physical Therapy in your treatment plans.  Every person who is prescribed physical therapy should receive the level of care I have received from Brian and therapist.  I urge you to seek out Glover Physical Therapy and Pain Rehabilitation for wonderfully effective physical therapy!

Sincerely,
Karen H., RN(ret.) Williamsville, NY

After knee surgery and months of physical therapy, I found myself at Brian Glover's door. I was on several types of pain therapy to help with the muscle and extreme nerve pain in my leg. My surgeon examined my leg and told me it had excellent mobility. I tried stretching, exercises, yoga, acupuncture, chiropractors, several physical therapists and pain meds. After going through major surgery and extensive rehab I was still suffering and had trouble performing normal activities - like walking and stairs.

Finding Glover Therapy was an answer to my prayers. Brian was not only extremely caring, concerned, conscientious and knowledgeable - but, the treatments he performed corrected my problems!

Thank you so very much, Brian.

I want to thank you, Brian Glover, PT for all the healing you have done for me. I suffered with severe headaches for two years! No doctor was able to ease my pain. You were my last hope. It was a miracle and I owe it all to you and God. Any other aches in my body you were kind enough to help me with. God bless you, your family and wonderful staff. I hope you prosper in good health. I returned to my life again after I had given up! I recommend you to everyone for treatment because you are a true angel.

To the #1 PT & PT Office in the World!!

Dear Mr. Glover,

I just wanted to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to you for the wonderful service, and especially the amazing treatments you provided me while I was a patient at your office.

I appreciate all the prayers, encouragement and support as at the time I was undergoing much trauma, both physically and spiritually, after my automobile accidents - which you helped me heal from tremendously! Not only did your treatments heal me physically, but your understanding of my complex injuries and how they affected me spiritually and emotionally helped me to heal greatly in these areas as well.

My prayer is that The Lord would continually bless and keep you in all you do, and may your business continue to prosper.. God Bless You!!!

My whole life has changed since I came to Glover Physical Therapy. The treatment I'm receiving is amazing. I have been to other physical therapy offices but never got treatment like this! I am a stroke patient that had a brain aneurism. I was paralyzed on my left side and I never had the results from physical therapy I'm getting now at Glover PT. I feel great! My pain has gone, I've changed for the better, the staff is great, very nice and understanding. My life has changed since I came here. Thanks to everyone at Glover Physical Therapy and Pain Rehabilitation

I think the staff is very professional and friendly! The environment they create makes it easy to approach anyone with a question; they have always answered each question in detail so I may understand. It is apparent they are highly trained and skilled in their jobs. I recommend this facility to everyone!

I have to tell you a little about myself so that you can really appreciate Brian Glover’s care and capabilities. I am over 55, have a severe curvature of the spine. I’ve worn body casts since the age of 1, had surgery at the age of 11, and worn braces. I’ve been to neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors, massage therapists, physical therapists and pain management physicians. I’ve been on pain medications of all kinds for the past several years.

My family doctor suggested physical therapy in June and gave me the names of several in this area. Since I had previously been to the other therapists, I decided to call Brian who specializes in the treatment of chronic pain syndromes. I made an appointment for July 1, 2004 and almost canceled a couple of times. But, then I decided to try again. Brian’s office assistant, Mary Jo, was instrumental in my seeing Brian. When I first phoned she talked to me for quite a while and was very informative. She always makes sure I am comfortable for each of my sessions, and is great about changing appointments dates and times.

I have been seeing Brian for 5 weeks now, and I don’t mean to sound like this in a negative way, but it seems like I’ve been seeing him much longer, because he just seems to know me so well. Brian is so caring and so perceptive in his work with me. He spent a lot of time at the onset getting to know where I’ve been and where I’m at now. One of the best things about my appointments is that he always deals with how I’m doing on a particular day - if my shoulders hurt, he works there, if my neck hurts the most, then that’s the target. Brian measured me for a lift in my shoe and it has helped me immensely. He developed an exercise plan for me, going over everything, to make sure that I was doing everything correctly. He has taught me that I can do the exercises to help relieve my pain. Before, when I was in pain I didn’t even want to try for fear of more pain.

While, I still do take my pain medication, and I still have some pain - my pills seem to work better, I can walk a little farther than before and I am happy with my programs. I look forward to more progress with his work and my work and I have hope, hope that I will feel even better and avoid some major, major surgery.

Thank you Brian Glover!

I am a 45-year-old wife and mother of three.  My 2006 New Year’s resolution was to do whatever it took to “get my life back.”

I wanted a life free from chronic pain.  I have spent the last 10 years of my life in chronic pain from an auto accident.  I wanted a life free from cervical and lumbar fusion pain, severe headaches, whiplash, fibromyalgia—and the life-altering depression, fatigue, and anger that accompany chronic pain.

In January 2006, I started another round of trigger point injections at the Western New York Pain Clinic and found the flier for Glover Physical Therapy and Pain Rehabilitation.  Dr. Bansal from the clinic said that Brian Glover has an excellent record for hands-on pain rehabilitation.

I started at Glover Physical Therapy in February 2006 thinking it would be another round of typical physical therapy (I have been to hospital rehab, hydrotherapy, and large physical therapy clinics).  I felt certain that my only option would be another surgery.

By the end of March 2006, I could actually turn my head and the shooting pain was gone from my arm, I was amazed at how good I felt!  The therapists at Glover Physical Therapy give personal one-on-one treatment each visit.  They are confident and hard working.  They give a full 30-40 minutes of one-on-one, intense treatment at each visit (something I never experienced at any of the other clinics). They understand physical therapy and chronic pain.  They eliminate chronic pain!

It is now February 2008, and I have not felt this great in years!  I was actually able to return to work six months ago!  I am now working full time at a job that I love.  I am free from pain, and all the negativity that goes along with it.

I am once again living a happy, fulfilling life, and I owe it all to the therapists at Glover Physical Therapy and Pain Rehabilitation – Brian and Karrie have given me my life back!!

I was diagnosed with Carpel Tunnel Syndrome in March 2003.  The Neurologist who administered the EMG test recommended surgery as the best solution.  I tried other methods such as wearing wrist splints, receiving physical therapy and lifting weights.  Over the years the pain subsided until it was manageable; but I couldn’t play the piano.  I was accustomed to playing scales rigorously as well as Chopin Nocturnes and Bach Fugues.  But the pain in my hands would become so intense; I had to give up.

Three years later I was faced with Carpel Tunnel surgery as the only solution.  Trying to avoid this, I asked my doctor for help.  He recommended Glover Physical Therapy.  After just a few visits with Brian Glover I went back to the piano and was amazed with the results.  To my delight I was able to play scales and music the way I always had.  The pain in my hand was nearly gone!

Not only did I suffer from hand pain, but also Tendonitis in my right arm was another problem. I would wrap an ace bandage from my forearm all the way up to my shoulder to do housework and yardwork.  Even though I took periodic breaks, my whole body would become fatigued.  After seeing Brian Glover for two weeks I no longer needed to wrap my arm and did not get tired doing chores.

I’m continuing to go to Glover Therapy, and look forward to gaining more strength in my arm.  The success I’ve experienced from Glover Physical Therapy and Pain Rehabilitation has inspired so much I plan to refinish my antique upright piano and have it rebuilt.

I was suffering from a pinched nerve in my left leg. Chiropractic treatment seemed to help at first, but then improvement came to a standstill. My family doctor referred me to Brian Glover for physical therapy. After the third treatment there was a tremendous improvement. I continued with a few more treatments until Brian and I felt that I no longer needed them.

I can truly testify that Glover Physical Therapy has been a blessing of physical and spiritual healing for me. I was having great pain in my neck and right shoulder from a job related injury. Not knowing where to turn for, I prayed to God for His divine direction and came across their name in the phone book. I have been coming here for over a year and have felt and seen results in my body, my spirit and daily activities. They have listened to my problem and have gone out of their way to help.

I would recommend anyone (friends, family, and co-workers) to become a patient at Glover Physical Therapy.
